Home if it Were the Five Senses

Home isn’t just four walls. It holds memories, family and friends! You can’t just build it… Instead I like to think you have to make it. It just needs the right ingredients. It takes years to make a structure a home… Home is similar to the five senses.. Well, first home is a smell. I can smell my mum’s amazing cooking me and my family enjoy together at dinner time. I am beyond grateful to be able to come home and know there’s food I can eat and be full. Next, touch. I can feel my family putting their arms around me and comforting me when I am feeling bad. Their comfort feels great, it’s hard to think some people don’t have. Third, hear. I can hear quiet calming music that I like to listen to when I am feeling down. It feels good to just relax. I hope everyone can feel that even if it’s hard. Fourth, taste. I can taste traditional Welsh cakes my family eats every St.Davids day! A Welsh Holliday we celebrate every year with family. Lastly, see. I can see my stuffy next to me snuggling up against my hip. Its fluffy coat is amazingly easy to love. Home isn’t just a structure. It’s a memory. When I think of home I feel calm and relaxed. That’s what makes home, home. Home is a place I will never forget. Thank you, habit for humanity for making this possible.
