A Place I Call Home
Home, the place for feeling love, affection, and safety. At my home, my parents greet me at the door when I walk in after school. If I don't go home, where do I go? Home will always be my first pick. Home provides food, water, and shelter.
I love to wake up to the smell of French toast on the stove, and Ruby ( my dog) tapping her feet as my mom gets ready for work. Before my mom leaves for work she lands a kiss on my cheek. My dad drives me to school before work and they will always be there for me.
The House I used to live in can't compare to my home. My home holds memories from years ago. But still my home has truly won over my heart. It will always have my key to love. I wish everyone had a home like mine. A home like mine has memories, love, and a kind family.
“The ache for home lives in all of us, the safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned.”
— Maya Angelou
This quote means that everyone wants a place where they feel safe and accepted. Deep inside, people of everywhere wish to belong somewhere. Life can sometimes feel confusing or busy. During those moments, the thought of home can bring comfort and peace. That is because home represents safety in a world that does not always feel safe.
