What Home Means To Me

To me home isn't just a shelter, home is my everything. Home is where I feel at peace and a place where all my worries disappear. Home is a place where I can always be myself without being judged. Its not just the house that's home its the people you laugh and cry with. After a long and tiring day at school, home is the place I always look forward to. Home is where my heart feels warm and lightens up. Home isn't just a word or a noun, the meaning of home doesn't only mean “free food!” To me home means family, friends, hope, joy, love, laughter and a safe place I can always unwind at. When it's morning in my house I can smell the fresh pancakes that my mom makes so good, I can hear my dad singing in the shower as I am washing my hands before breakfast. Even when I'm at school it still feels like home whether I am playing with my friends at recess or watching my favourite movie with my parents. It doesn't matter where you are, it's about the people you are with. Home isn't just the roof over your head. Home is the place you were born and raised. Home is your family, friends home is the laughter, sadness, and joy you experience. What I mean is home is not only a house home can be anywhere if you're with the people you love.
