I Found Ehere I Belong

A home is where there is love, support, and compassion, a house is where there is decor but no kindness. A home is a place where you can feel welcomed and belonged, a home is where you can be yourself in front of your family, not just your family but friends too. A house is where there are just walls and no feeling, you can't feel at home when you're not in one. But to me the word home means when you feel at home, a home doesn't have to be a building, but a safe space where you feel like you're at home, to me I don't really know where home is. At my dads we have heartfelt feelings, but it's not home to me, at my moms we have love but it's not home. I wish home were somewhere where you feel like you belong, somewhere where you can be yourself. The thing that feels at “home” is when I'm with my horse; she makes me feel like I belong somewhere. Her name is Mia, she's a 23-year-old quarter horse. She’s the sweetest horse I've ever met. I met her last year in April. Ever since then, my mental health has gotten better, and I've felt better as a person. Home can be anywhere. You just have to find where that place, person, or thing is.
