Dream Beach

The hot sand, the big blue sky. My dog chased me into the water as I cannonballed. My siblings cried to my parents, “Thanks for getting us a cabin!!!” I ran inside exploring and visualizing all my friends running around, roasting marshmallows, and sleeping on bunks. I was planning all of this when a question popped up in my head. What is the meaning of home? I asked my parents and they had no idea. I made it my mission to find out its meaning. I pondered the thought “I can’t simply believe that people don’t have a home.” I was walking when I saw Dr. Chongs across the road. As I crossed the road, I said “Hey Dr. Chongs, how’s it going?” He told me all about his day, I love listening to Dr. Chongs talk but sometimes, it can be a bit much. “Luke? It’s time to go tubing.” My mom shouted, and I chanted “Yes!!” I said goodbye to Dr. Chongs and headed back to the cabin. Out on the water, my mom said I was up first, I jumped in and got on the tube with my sister. Moving so fast in a circle and saw a massive wave coming, and hit it hard. We both went flying up in the air when time stopped for a minute. Questions ran through my head but one stuck out the most. Again, it was “what is the meaning of home.” I think I'm ready to answer that question. The meaning of home is wherever your family and friends are. They say “Home is where the heart is.” Your heart is your family and friends. Your heart is your home.
