A Home is Not a House

Hi, my name is Jasser and today I am going to tell you that home is not just a house that you live in. It’s the feeling that makes it so special. So, if someone says a house is where you live, tell them, well, its more about the feeling. My home is special because I live with my family. If you came to my house, you would smell lovely homemade chocolate cake. When you take your first bite, you would taste the delicious candy cane inside. Yum! I feel comfortable on my cozy couches that we watch tv on. Also the love of my home fills the air with warmth. You would also see my sister helping me with my schoolwork. Just the simple moments like me racing my sister when I’m way faster than her are little moments that could be big memories. If you look in my home, you’ll see my mom teaching me how to cook. I say, are you sure about this? I don’t want to burn the kitchen. She says stop joking around. I also love building with my dad. You would hear my oldest sister always encouraging me to keep going and to never give up. Last year, I was nervous for the cross-country meet, but my youngest sister was cheering me on and that’s why I got 1st place. My family is a big and good family. I love home and you should too. Home is not just a house. Home is life. Home is special. I’m happy that Habitat for Humanity is still building homes for people. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity for your continued and unstoppable effort on building homes for people.
