Home means love
Do you love your home? You should, because home is where your family is—the people who care about you. For me, home isn’t just a building. It’s my mom, my brother, and my dog. They make me feel safe. The house doesn’t make my home special. It’s the love and memories we share. Those moments matter because of my family. My home is where I belong and know I’m loved.
My mom is the best. She loves spending time with me, whether we are playing sports or going to fun places. One time she took my brother and me to the zoo for the whole day, and it was amazing. She also works very hard for us. She cleans, folds our laundry, and cooks delicious meals. My favorite meal she makes is steak, my brother also makes a pretty great one.
My brother, Jack, can be annoying, but most of the time he’s really fun to play with. We both love hockey and even play on the same house league team. He’s the goalie, and I play forward. Our team is pretty good. At home, we play mini hockey with small sticks and balls, shooting into a small net he got for his birthday.
Lily is the best dog. She loves to snuggle with me every single day after school. She enjoys playing ball, chasing me around, and going on walks. When we get home, she waits by the door and jumps on us with excitement. She especially gets excited when we have food.
To wrap things up my home is where I belong and that's what home means to me. My brother, my mom, and my dog those are the meanings of my home to me. So when you go home tonight, think about the meaning of your home.
