Your Home

What is a home? Is it a place, is it people, a state of mind, or maybe it’s an idea of sorts? I believe a home is a safe space, a symbolic place, and something you are grateful for. Join me as I explore this important question. We may not all have it, but it does exist a place where you don’t feel judged. You don’t feel discriminated against. Where peer pressure from the outside is non-existent. Here you are comfortable and at ease . Personally, a home makes me feel comfortable and safe. I am truly thankful for that, and feel blessed. Places called a home mean something different for different people. What home means to you varies depending on your experiences. Your home can mean different things depending on your culture, and how you were raised. For me home symbolizes warmth and happiness. This gives me a special feeling of belonging and safety. There are some people that aren’t grateful for their home, because they’ve always had one. Maybe they are not aware of the fact that thousands don’t have a place to call their own. I am very grateful for the fact I have a place to have fun, to cry, and to be at peace. I love that I can live this way, and words can’t describe my gratitude. You see, even if you are completely alone, which some people are, as long as you are completely content with where you are, I firmly believe you have a home. I have a caring community, and a family, and a beautiful home that consumes me with love and kindness. I wish, pray and hope that one day everyone, no matter who they are, can have a home that they hold near and dear to their hearts.
