My Home

Home is not a building with walls or a roof. Home is a feeling you are loved, you are safe. Home is a place where people say “I love you” and you say it back. The taste of delicious food is made just for you. The smell of my Mom’s homemade soup and biscuits wafting in the air. The sound of my sister and I running down the stairs to see what mom is cooking. My home is loud with laughter. So many smiles there. My Dad and I playing catch with our dogs' tennis ball in the yard. Us playing around the bonfire at night. The shining stars under the night sky A home is not a house, a home is people you love. A home is not selfishness nor sadness of being alone. Home is the love, the caring, to feel what you feel. Be who you want to be. A home is love. My home is special to me and I want everyone to have that specialness too. Thanks to the Habitat for Humanity people can have an opportunity to change.
