My Meaning Of Home

When I think of home I think of many things. I think of the sweet smell of sap as it drips down the trees in my front yard, I think of the sound of my mothers giggling as it rings out through the house while she's sprawled out on her bed, I think of arguing with my sister about what movie we watch, and I think about running out the door as my sister comes home from college. But when I think of home I also think of the sound of my dog barking as I come inside, I think of seeing the looks on my baby siblings faces after not seeing me for a week or more, I think about the jokes me and my family make late at night as the kids sleep peacefully, and I think about playing in the snow as my brother wails over something as small as a lost glove, I remember when I was a lot younger I couldn't understand why the other kids didn't have to switch from house to house, or why they didn’t have to miss their family at the other house. But now that I am older and I understand, I am thankful for two loving and positive homes as I know some people don't even have one. I believe that no matter what you have done or what you will do, everybody deserves a home.
