My Home

Have you ever wondered what the difference between a house and a home are? Well, a house is built, and a home is made. But have you ever wondered why? I have, but let me explain first. A house might be something you look forward to seeing everyday. Like maybe you're looking forward to seeing your couch, your bed, a blanket or a specific object. But a home is a lot different. A home is kind of like a safe space that you can feel like you're having fun, calm, happy, peaceful, or used to. A home can also be making memories with your family and friends or also enjoying every special moment with someone or something you love. Now I'm going to tell you about my home. My home is really special to me. I am a dancer, I dance a lot. It's like I'm at my dance studio every month! That’s why it’s my home. Because I'm really used to dancing everyday. There’s lots of reasons why dance is my home. So I'm going to tell you why. I have lots of friends. I have amazing dance teachers. And I do lots of dance styles like jazz, lyrical, tap, ballet, hiphop, contemporary and more. All of those things I just told aren’t just the reasons why dance is my home, but it’s also really special because I have been doing dance since I was 2 years old, And I have loved dancing since then! Also something that really gets me excited is going to dance competitions a few months in the new year! Usually we go to dance competitions around April and May, and tryouts start in June, so everything goes by really quickly. Dance competitions are so fun, because we get to compete against all different studios around the world, and get awards and medals from different dance judges! Sometimes me and my dance team and all the moms go out for dinner and make memories and have so much fun! After dance competitions are over. There are tryouts, where there’s classes everyday in June, then the next week you receive what team you are on. Later in June there is the banquet where some dancers get awards and trophees and your team gets awards and eat dinner. I got a trophy in 2024. I was super happy and super proud of myself that day! After more practice at the studio. It will be next year where we do everything again, If you're on a new team or with your same team. Honestly, dance is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I will always remember how lucky and how grateful I am to be at my dance studio everyday! So that is the difference between my house and my home!
