Home

Home isn't just a place where you sleep and eat. When I think of home, I think of a place where you play and spend time with friends, family, and sometimes pets. A place where you feel safe and loved. A place where you're happy. A home is filled with lots of memories. Memories of playing in the yard or watching a movie with your family. Memories are part of what makes a home so special. It doesn't matter if you have nice furniture or not. A home isn't about how it looks. A home isn't a house. A home is a safe and happy place, not just a pretty place. Home should be a place you can be yourself. A place different from anywhere else. Your home can change, too. If you move into a new house, it can still be your home. You can also have more than one house. So, if you move you may be in a different house, but you will still have your old home. Animals have homes too. Their homes can be a bit different from ours though. Sometimes they live in the wild, other times they live with us. I think everyone should have a home, and that's why Habitat for Humanity is working towards having more affordable houses so more people can have a home.
