What Home Means To Me

For me home is a place where I can be myself and roll my eyes at my dad’s jokes. It’s a place where we connect and love each other. Home is my hideout when I want to be alone. It’s a place where we fill each other with love and joy, we support each other through thick and thin. It matters that we are all together and when we are, nothing is impossible. A home is a place that you come home to every day. It's a place where family cares for you and you care for family. Home takes care of you, It makes you feel safe and calm. It helps you connect with others and be with them. Home has everything I want and everything I need. It has books, a TV, beds, paper, and pens. But most of all Home has a family to be with under its roof. I think every family should have a roof over their head and not have to worry about anything but having a good time with family and friends. So I wrote this to tell you what home means to me and why everyone deserves a home. By Aubrey de Vries
