Meaning of HOME
A Home is everything to me; it's cozy, it's fun, it feels loved, it's warm, it’s a lot of things. But some people don’t have any of that, and they need that. A house is just a shelter with nothing really; it’s just a place where you live, with walls, a roof, and a door. At home, you can feel safe at night, but in a house, you can’t sleep at night because you have nightmares. I think everyone would feel loved and safe. At home, you laugh, you play, you have good times.
When I wake up out of my bed and open my window on a hot sunny day in summer, you can just smell the fresh air like our home just has a barrier keeping all the pollution out. But in a home, it’s the opposite.
When you play board games, card games, and video games in your home with your family, you just feel loved its fun its funny. In a house, though, all the feelings aren’t the same.
I love my house, but it's not just a house, it’s a home. Even though some houses are not good, some people don’t even have a house, which is why the work Habitat for Humanity does is so important in my community.
