THE PLACE I CALL HOME

My home is where my loved ones are. It’s where I feel comfort and support; arguments are often. My family and I celebrate festivals, traditions, and birthdays. We visit temples and we care and comfort our family members. My cousin that is close to my family, sometimes comes to my house for sleepovers. My cousin and I are close. We went camping with her family and it was fantastic. When I was little, my family moved to Canada from India. We stayed at my aunt's apartment, and it turned into my first home in Canada. After some time, my family moved to an apartment close to my aunt’s. In my second home, I had a big blue tub with all my toys. I knew all my toys because if one went missing, I would get worried. My first ever home was in India. I love going there in the summer because my grandparents live there. We have a swing on the front porch. My grandma's brother lives near her so we visit them often. Their daughter has a kid now but before that she and I were close. I've moved a lot, but I also made memories with kind people I met along the way. Now I've finally settled down and I'm thankful that Habitat for Humanity provides homes for people without them.
