A house isn't the same as a home

Home is like your castle where your heart is protected with joy and love. But a house isn't the same as a home. A house is a building that is built the same as a home but doesn't have the same experiences as a home and that doesn't have the same memories as a home. A home is like a warm blanket that wraps around me every day and where memories are made day by day. Home is my audience where I'm appreciated and cheered on to achieve my goals. It's where you know you can make mistakes and where you can learn from them. A kitchen could be your bakery that gets messy now and then, and where you learn the recipes step by step with the recipes imparted to you. My living room is my movie room and comedy club where my family connects from stories of the ongoing day and where you keep memorable moments as souvenirs in your heart and head. A home and house may not be entirely different but what makes them different is what happens inside of a home/house not what can make them alike but what the difference is. A house is a building not claimed but a home is claimed by someone or anyone. A home is a sacred place with bonds and nostalgia knowing that when you step in that home you are safe and forever loved! That's what I think is the difference between a house and a home. So always remember that there's a difference between a home and a house and you should always be grateful for what you have. But always at the end of the day a house might be full of memories but a home will forever be full of memories. Habitat for humanity gives someone the chance for a home and I believe that everyone deserves a loving and safe home so I participated in the house vs home contest so that someone will have the chance to have a home!
