How a House Turned into my Home

When I was 4 my mom and dad told me “Go pack up we are leaving”. Idk how they said that with a straight face…… I heard them packing and that hurt my 4 year old heart… 2 days later the house was empty. That's when I realized my home turned into a house that was no longer mine… 1 day later my mom and dad drove me up this huge hill. I kept yelling, “are we there yet?” like other kids. That's when my new life began. This house is so much bigger and pretty, the yard is pretty and big! We unpacked, but I started feeling the tears run down my face. “I don't like it here, I miss my home”..... But after 2 years I grew used to it. I got a puppy. He is 5 and he is a dalmatian. My room was purple and I had LED lights. Yeah, my home is warm and fuzzy. I totally don't have 13 cats. Hehehehe. My home is my safe place and a place where I feel safe. And that's how a house turned into my home. Thank you habitat for humanity for building homes for those in need!!
