Home

Home is a place where I feel safe. It is familiar and predictable. It is the most important place in my life. The bedroom is a place of quiet and comfort. Books and trinkets make one lost in the past. Or in other worlds. The kitchen is an army of smells and tastes. Memories and meals, jokes and laughs. The basement is full of toys and games. Full of imagination and creativity. The pictures on the walls are memories of important moments in our lives. First book read, birthdays, first time riding a bike and end of year parties. The living room is a place of fun. Board games, movies and laughs. Home is where you can be who you want. It’s safe, comfortable, welcoming, full of memories, and where I belong.
