Home is a Feeling

Home isn’t a place. If home was a place you would not be able to feel at home at your friend’s or family’s house. Home is when you feel safe and loved and when you can talk to people you trust. Home is where you can know that you are not going to get hurt in any way. Home doesn't mean you are where you actually live, it's where you are with your loved and trusted people. You might be halfway across the country and still feel at home. If you feel safe and loved then you are at home. When I am at home I see people I trust and hear kind, funny and loving things. When I see and hear things I love most I feel at home. If you can be hurt in any way then you are not safe and at home. That is why when I feel safe and loved I also feel at home. I know what home feels like to me and I also know that home is a feeling ,not a place at least to me. Some of the things I feel at home include content ,at peace ,comfortable and free of distress. If I get up in the morning and feel that something is wrong or I feel uncomfortable then I am not at home. One thing I am happy about is that I know when I feel at home and that I know that when I feel uncomfortable I am not at home. I know that I have the knowledge of what is home for me and that makes me happy.
