What Home Means To Me
Home means more than a house it means family, love, hope, happiness, and care. Home is where I feel safe and loved. At home I know I can be myself.
In my home I feel loved by everyone around me. I feel safe, brave, and confident. Home is my happy place and everyone in my home loves me for who I am. After a long day at school I come home to my parents, and my sister. I’m always so excited and happy to come home after a long day so I can see my family. My family makes me feel happy, calm, and loved.
At home I have a lot of special memories that make my house a home. Like home is where I took my first steps. I have memories with my family and friends. Home is where I’ve celebrated my birthdays, Christmas’s, and so many more special days. The memories in my home are really special just like the people who are in them. Every time I think about them a smile is put on my face.
At home I do things with my family. Mom and I love baking cookies, cakes, and pies! We love serving them to the rest of the family. With my dad we play games together. We love playing tic-tac-toe, 4 in a row, and hangman! With my sister we play outside and inside. In the summer we play outside in the pool, but in the winter we play in the snow! When we play inside we do art and play with dolls. I have tons of fun doing these fun things with my family at home!
My home isn’t just a house because it means family. Thank you habitat for humanity for building affordable houses for others to make their home.
