Dirt
Home is place where you can relax, you can work, you can see all the freedom you have, you can see how unique you are, you can see the great things that you do. House. It’s just a place where you live. Some people have multiple. Some people call two houses a home and house. Because one might not feel like home because there’s a different environment.
A house is a place where you live or live part time. I live in both a rural (open fields) and an urban (city) place. One of my favourite things about my homes is pets. I have a bearded dragon which is average sized. His name is Spike. He is very old for a bearded dragon. He’s 8 years old - that’s like 87-95 years old in human years. At my other home I have a dog named Odin. He’s a four year old pitbull.
A house, you can still feel safe and loved but you might not feel welcome or relaxed. A home has to feel loved, secure, safe, and relaxed.
I have the freedom and the privilege to do things with my friends and family. I can live somewhere that I can talk whenever I want and that’s amazing. And that’s home.
In the open fields, home is dirt. It reminds me of all the hard hours my dad has put in for his family. If you look at all the land, the freedom, what we can do, not many people have that.
DIRT:
DESERVING: Some farmers work hard, some don’t. Some can be spoiled brats, some can be dedicated workers.
I love being on the farm. I love helping my dad out. Lots of funny things happen. Lots of sad things happen.
RESOLVING: If you wanna have a good time, you have to have to be able to resolve arguments and de-escalate problems.
THE thing I love most about living on a farm is the freedom. And that’s what makes me feel home.
