What home means to me
I never knew where my home was.
I grew up moving constantly,
And I thought that all those houses I lived in weren’t home.
Until I found out that home isn’t just your house.
It’s being with your family and friends, having fun, eating, and much more.
Home can be a million different things.
And every answer is different for each person.
All families are unique.
Some can be stuck together like a rock.
And some can be separated almost like they’re all lost at sea.
To me home is family, love and kindness, and it feels like a fresh breeze.
And now I know that all those six houses I lived in were home.
I just didn’t realize it.
I love my home.
No matter which house I live in,
Home will always be home as long as you have your family.
Thank you Habitat for Humanity for helping me find the meaning of home,
And hopefully others.
