A Home is Not Just a House

A home is not just a building. It's more than just a regular house. It's where you can express your feelings and be yourself! Home isn't just a home, it's where your family is. For me it's not home if I don't sometimes argue about who gets to play the keyboard. If you ever came to my home, you would be greeted by my cats at the door. My cats help me feel at home because I've had cats my whole life. Home is not home if I don't smell me and my sister's perfume. Home is not just where you live. It's where you don't need to be afraid to ask for help. So what if me and my family argue sometimes, that doesn't mean we hate each other and don't want to talk. If I let my family know my feelings, they would want to help me, and talk it out. Sometimes we might think home is just where you live. But it's not! It's where some of your favorite people and memories are, it's where I feel comforted. It doesn't matter if you live in an apartment or a big house. What matters is that you feel safe and comfortable. So next time someone asks you what's so important about a house being special, just say that it's your comfort place to be yourself, then they will understand.
