What Home Really Means

Home isn’t just a structure made of bricks, it’s the love and laughter that family brings. Home is anywhere you feel it to be, where you are truly happy. A house and a home have many differences, and each one is unique! A house and a home are like level 1 &2, A house isn't a home until someone lives in it. Why? Because there needs to be love, family and shelter to become a home. A house is just a structure while a home is your happy place. Home is where you think of it to be, Here’s what I mean, I know my home as my apartment; It’s not a house but I consider it my home. Think of the word home , I think of the home I live in when I do. My home is like my nest if, I were a bird. Every home has something special, here's what makes mine precious. If I were to use the 5 senses it would be something like: Smell: My moms gorgeous plants, and yummy cooking. Sight: The familiar faces of my family and friends. Hearing: I hear the laughter, sadness, happiness, and all the other feelings of my family. Taste: The food my mom works so hard to make. Feel: I feel everything, home is where my true emotions show, I also feel/know memories are being made. That's why a home isn't just a house, It’s where family is. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving people a safe environment to call home.
