Home Is Love and Belonging

Home is where my parents are, and that’s what makes it special. It is not just a building made of bricks, doors, and windows. My home is a warm and cozy place where I belong, feel safe, and make happy and fun memories. At home, I enjoy reading books, painting with watercolors, practicing the violin, and playing with my dolls and a toy kitchen. I also like to keep my home clean and tidy, especially my room. In the summer, I enjoy gardening with my parents and grandparents, and I love playing outside with my friends and riding bikes. My home motivates me to learn new things, feel confident, and do my best. Home is important to everyone, whether they have one or not. I have learned that in some places, some baby girls are abandoned in unsafe places like bushes or roadsides. Some are rescued by kind people and taken to the hospital for care. Some are adopted quickly, but every child deserves a safe home, loving parents, and basic needs like food, clean water, and a safe place to live. Home also means a lot to homeless children and children living in orphanages. They hope that one day they will be adopted into a home where they feel safe, cared for, and loved. When I grow up, I would like to volunteer with organizations that help vulnerable kids. Everyone deserves a place to feel safe and belong. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for letting me write about something so important.
