Home To Me
Home is like a life on an emotional rollercoaster ride,
Filled with exciting moments and fears that I hide.
Home is where I let my tears fall and cry,
Like a sad gray cloud dragging across the sky.
Sometimes my tears hurt others. I see the pain,
And anger crashes in like loud thunder and rain.
When those moments come, I cross fingers tight,
Wishing for luck to make things feel right.
I cry on my mom’s shoulder, safe in her embrace,
Her hugs bring comfort, a warm, gentle place.
My family feels like a schedule, packed and planned,
Like a colony of ants, always working hand in hand.
The house smells amazing from my mom’s cooking.
My mouth is like a volcano, full of saliva.
I pant for breath playing sports with my dad,
We laugh so hard it turns tired into glad.
Home feels like too much to explain fully,
But one thing is clear, and will always remain:
I care that I stay family, together, just like a magnet,
With my loved ones beside me,
HOME IS WHERE I BELONG!!!!
