Home to me isn’t just a place to live, it’s so much more. It's the place where all of the people I love come together. Home is the smell of my dad’s steak on the grill, he always cooks it perfectly. Home is the comfort of my bed. It is so comfortable and soft, it makes me feel safe when I sleep. The feeling of my dog when I walk through the door makes me feel so important. He’s always happy to see me, no matter what mood I’m in or if I’ve had a bad day. He can always cheer me up. Home is the sound of laughter between me and my brother. He is my best buddy and he will always be there for me when I need him. Home is family. My family makes me feel like I belong and that I am so special. They are the people I need in my life that can help me through my ups and downs. They are my biggest cheerleaders and help shape who I am. Home is the place where I feel most comfortable and where I can be myself. Home for me is wherever my family is. It is love, kindness, joyful, and fun. It’s where I have a lot of memories like celebrating my birthdays and family traditions every year. Home tastes like our homemade chocolates at Christmas time in our family elf pyjamas. It’s a beautifully decorated home that makes me feel extra cozy around the sparkling Christmas tree. Home is my community where I am lucky to have nice neighbors and friends nearby. Its roasting marshmallows on a hot summer night and playing games at the park with my friends. No home is perfect but I am thankful for the home that I have.
