The Meaning of Home
Home isn't just walls and a roof, it's the people that're in it and around it. It's the feeling of happiness and laughter. It’s a place to think about on a sad day. It’s the smell of my mom cooking delicious shipwreck. It’s where me and my brother play video games on rainy days.
Home is the hand shake me and my parents did before they left for work “fist bump high five hug kiss and wave good bye.” That's important to me because if we were to miss it I would feel like going to school without saying goodbye beforehand. And then I will miss my parents all day. I also love when my family and I watch baby videos. Looking back at them reminds me how cute and hilarious I was back then. It is important to me because I will always remember what I learned and looked like back then.
My home is my family. My home is where I feel safe and make memories. Wherever I go my family will always be with me. And when I get older I will always play with my brother. That is home to me.
