What is HOME
Home is not just a building, but an ocean of emotions. I think of my family sitting on the couch, giggling and talking. Home is never perfect, but sometimes quarreling and sad. Home is like a circus full of breath-taking scenes and entertainment.
When I think of my mom, it reminds me of her cooking. I feel the warmth of the food going down my throat, and the chewiness of the bite in my mouth. It is like comfort food, but better – it is like a memory of my family with each bite. When I think of my dad it reminds me of playing cricket in our apartment. When we play cricket, it is so much fun to make up our own rules.
Home is where I feel free. When some of my family is outside of our home, they have to change themselves just to fit in, but at home everybody is welcome. Home is where everyone in my family feels like themselves again and gets together whether it is from family traditions or holidays.
Home is like an amusement park where you can try out ALL SORT OF THINGS, like reading, playing cards together, or wrestling with my dad just for fun. Home is where our heart feels more than grateful and in a state at peace. You know the clock does not just show time, but every quarter of each second, it is a memory put together right there in place, and to me it feels like a present given to me in a position where money can’t buy anything. Home is where I feel most authentic, safe, and surrounded by loved ones.
Home is not just where you are from. It is where shelter finds you when your heart is lost.
