What is a home?

Home isn't just a building, it is a place where you feel welcome and happy. It is a place that you love. When you’re at home you should feel happy memories sink through the walls. You should feel dreams in the air and like anything is possible. Home is a place where you feel the most bright, the most silly and most comfortable. You smell the things you like, and see the things you love the most. That is a home. When l walk through my home I hear laughter and play. I see happiness from my brother and can smell my mom baking cookies. I make memories in my home. I feel safe, cozy and loved by my family. The people who surround you can make anywhere feel like a true home. A home doesn't even have to be your house, it can be anywhere in the world, and it can be different things for different people. My home is my house. I feel relaxed, welcome and happy there, but your feeling of home could be a school, forest, hockey rink, or dance studio. Home is like a paradise where all of your dreams come true, and you feel most like yourself. A home can turn a bad day around. When you're feeling angry, sad or alone you can go to your home and feel welcome, happy or loved. A home feels like comfort, or a warm hug. A home doesn’t have to be a place where you eat or sleep. Sometimes a home is just the people you’re near, who make you feel most like you.
