What Home Means To Me
My home is a place where I am seen and heard. A place where I feel safe and somewhere I can be myself. A home is not just a shelter, it is somewhere that I can express my feelings when I am hurt. When I think of my home I think about a place that I have food and water and somewhere I can get my rest. When someone says home the first thing to come to my mind is family: my mom, dad and my two brothers. I think of family because I feel safe with them and I don’t have to hide anything from them. Whenever I feel sad and upset I can walk into my home and I can feel better. My home is my happy place, my peaceful place. Home means a place where you feel free and you feel like you can do anything. You feel like there can be nothing that will stop you from doing what you want and feel what you feel. If I did not have a home I would not be able to do a lot of the things I do today. A home is a house but full of happiness and calmness. Home is meaningful. Sometimes people say what is home? I say home is where I can talk to people but not just any people, my family. So remember this home is not just some place home is a place where your family or your loved ones come together and celebrate all the traditions and celebrate the things that mean a lot to you. Some people say they don’t like home but from my perspective I say otherwise so when someone asks me what is home? I will say home is where I feel loved.
