Home Is What It Is

Home to me isn't a place far away, "Home" is a place right at bay. Where one second it's quiet, the next it's loud. And where laughter, chatter, & joy fill the room. Home to me is where last minute talks last an hour, A place where I can fall onto knowing its people will help me back up. Home to me isn't the beams of wood or its bricks... it's the people in it! The people who give hugs that last a lifetime, long after they let go. People who give themselves less, so they can give me more, People who trade their success for my smile. Home to me is the people in it. They are the people who remember me from the day I was born to the now. They are the ones who turn the darkest & saddest days into the most beautiful, unforgettable memories. This home teaches me that you don't have to fit in to be a part of something, because everyone is unique. These people are what home is to me--because no matter where I go, I will know I have these unforgettable memories and experiences that revolve around them. They are people who are so thoughtful and kind. That is my home that I will never really have.
