My Perfect Home

Home is like my warrior, big and strong Speaking Nepali is where I belong Home is my happy place – even on sad days My loved ones makes home happy and warm in many ways My family isn’t perfect, but we always thrive Every day, every night- we’re always alive Home isn’t just a building, it’s memories and fights No matter what happens, our arguments always come to light My family makes sure I get a steady roof above my head And some groceries to stay fed. Nepal is my home, even across the globe It feels special on a late night in my robe You know those photos on the wall? Those are our memories and happy times No matter the weather, it’s just us and no whines Our family is like a pack- always working as a team That’s what makes home special, it feels like a dream. Home tastes like hard work and time put in every grain of rice My family and my home are special – we don’t have a price Home is like a hot shower on a cold winter day During the summer my sister and I run through the sprinklers- that’s how you play This is my home, love, laughter, fights, and games - I love my family and my home every day.
