What is Home?

What is Home? Home. What is Home? Well, Home in English is Home. Home in Gujarati is Ghar (Guuh-R). Home in Portuguese is Lar. So what is Home, Ghar and Lar to me and to you? To me home is a place where I feel energized and excited for everything whether it's an argument or a trip to Disneyland. In my home I celebrate things like Diwali, Holi and Navratri. I was born in India but I moved to Canada when I was 5 years old. In my home I usually play with my little brother Jay. When I think of home it reminds me of my brother, my mom and my dad. My mom reminds me of her changing my brother's diapers. My dad reminds me of him coming home from work and hugging me and my brother. My brother reminds me of him annoying me when I sit down. Home in my case is not always calm. There's fights happening over what movie to watch or what to eat. In my home I am usually playing with my brother or helping my mom cook something in the kitchen. My dad runs a construction company so sometimes when he goes to do another client’s work I just tag along with him and help him. So that’s what home is to me.
