The Meaning of Home

A home can mean many things. It can be from the smell of spices cooking in the kitchen to the fun memories we make. A home is not just four walls and a roof. It is a place where you can be yourself and where your loved ones are there with you as well. A house is built from walls and brick, but a home is made from love and dreams. Each room has a different purpose, the kitchen is where food is made. Where the sweet aroma of my mom and grandma’s cooking fills the room. The living room is where we gather, laughing, playing, and having fun. My bedroom is where I feel calm, a place where I can read my books in peace. Home is where I learned to be kind, respectful, and confident. Everyone deserves a home where they should feel safe and loved. A place where they can laugh, play and make special memories! But not everyone has that joy that most of us have. Thank you Habitat for Humanity, for not just building houses, but homes where love can grow.
