Home Poem

Home feels like a warm fuzzy blanket My soft grey cat Curling on my laundry covered lap. Smells like sweet fresh air Coming in from an opened window I hear my family talking softly below. I can see my dads coffee And the steam from moms Red Rose tea While the cat’s purring loudly I begin to read. I taste warm and fresh pancakes So yummy and sweet Piled with whipped cream and syrup it makes a great treat. Curled up in front of the fireplace The soft flames flush my cheeks And the heat warms my face. So, as I get into bed at the end of the day All I ever wanted to say Is that home, is a place I feel more than okay.
