The Meaning of Home

Home isn't just a house, it's a safe environment for you and your family, a door that locks so no one breaks in, a comfortable bed to sleep on, a roof over your head, some don't have hot water to shower and stay clean, and good food to feed your family so you're not always hungry. Some families don't have the money to have houses; some live in a shelter; some sleep on park benches. Some families don't have comfortable beds and new clothes. Some families may have houses, but not in a safe environment, like bad smells, mold in the corners of their walls. Be thankful for what you have. To me, home is where you share stories, make memories with friends and family, and it's where you feel safe and loved.
