The Meaning of Home

The meaning of home: It’s a place, a house, an apartment, a cabin, wherever it is, it makes you feel safe. A home can make you feel comfortable. A home is where people you love are. Somewhere that you have privacy. A place with a bathroom, bedroom, living room, sometimes a basement and upstairs. The meaning is different for everybody. Some people don't have a house. They might go to a shelter. A home is where a roof is over your head. Some homes might have mold, dust, and dirt. In the end, you are lucky you have a roof, a bed, and running water. A home is not just walls, wood, cement and furniture. It’s a place with friends and family, and pets. A place where you can have fun. Some people sleep on benches because they don't have enough money to buy a house. It’s ok not to have a better house than your friends/family. The house is not just about the looks. It is the things inside the home. I think everyone should have a home or somewhere they can sleep. In your home, it has memories. Good or bad memories, move or stay, sell or keep. In your home, it's where you can be loved, be kind and have fun. That’s the meaning of home for me.
