Meaning of Home

Have you ever wondered what makes a house a home? To me, home is more than just a house because we make memories. At home I feel love, cozy, safe, nurtured and supported by my family. I feel so loved and coziness in my home because I’m very close to my family and it’s a strong connection and I trust and love them. My home is also filled with traditions especially during the holidays or special occasions. My mom decorates our home for every season, and it brings our family a lot of joy. My family and I spend a lot of family quality time and pray together. God is the centre of our family and protects and guides us through sad and good times. God fills our home with the fruit of the spirit. Which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. We love going on family vacations I have so much fun when my dad goes with me on the big water slides. We also play board games, bake together, watch movies and doing special activities with my little brother. As a family we have so much fun playing outside in the winter building a snowman and going sledding. In the summertime we enjoy swimming and having fun in our pool and go fishing with my dad in our backyard. Or simply making smores by the fire with my family surrounding me. We always share about our day and our feelings because I feel comfortable with my family and they give me advice when I need it. I have a very special and strong bond with my family that makes my home feel all these special things. Having a sense of belonging is something everyone deserves. This is why everyone should have a home!
