Home is where the heart is

“Home is where the heart is.” Is a very famous quote by the man named Pliny the Elder. Hello, I am Hugh, and I am going to talk about what home means to me. Such as my Dad’s cooking. My Mum’s hugs and my sister’s wild stories. One of the most iconic things about my home is my dad’s cooking. Some of my favourite meals include his grilled chicken legs, fried peppers, and the crepes. Also, when I feel down, my Mum always makes me feel happy or better. I remember once I got really hurt and had to get stitches, even though the wait was like 4 hours to get stitches, my mum comforted me the entire time. One of my favourite moments with my sister was when I painted most of her body green during the pandemic. Some of my other favourite memories include stuff such as watching all the Harry Potter movies with my family and watching soccer /football matches. I almost forgot about my dog. His name is Archie, and whenever I come home, he jumps on top of me and licks my face, and no matter if I had a bad day or not, he is always the same happy dog. Home for me means love in every corner, happiness soars through the roof, fresh food is served, and finally, in conclusion, no home is perfect, a home doesn’t have to be a place with 4 walls; it can be a tent, a trailer or a friend's couch, it doesn’t matter at all. These are the things that make a home for me and millions of others.
