A Home is not Just a Building

A home is not just a place. It’s a place where you have memories and you feel like you belong. I have had so many homes before, and they were all very special to me. I have so many memories of all of them but the one I live in now is my favorite. I moved into the home I live in now when I was almost 6 years old, so I have lived in it for 5 years now and I have so many memories of birthdays and Christmas's Halloweens new year's and so much more. My favorite memory is when my friend was climbing the roots of a tree that fell down above a deep puddle and two seconds later she fell into it. It was so funny and we were both laughing so hard! My home is one of my favorite places to be. It makes me feel warm and safe like someone will always be there for me. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to not have a home or someone to care for you. Just imagine how hard that would be - how much it would hurt! You would almost never be able to be happy. That’s why I'm so grateful for my home, my family, my friends, and the most beautiful land to live on like the forests and the oceans the grass the sky and all the plants. I don’t know What i would do if i didn't have my mom, my stepmom, dad, brother, and stepsister. I hope that one day all the families in the world can get a nice safe warm place to live in – somewhere they can look forward to coming home to after school.
