When I Come Home
When I come in my home from a long and tiring day at school, I open the door of my home, and I feel a blast of memories and a feeling of security and comfort. That feeling soothes my spirits, and then in my mind I see the memories of my brother rushing home from the bus to go and play with his favourite toy. Then there's my sister who is also rushing home from the bus to read. That is the only thing she does; she reads 24-7. My mom is at the door to greet us when we come home. She makes the most beautiful and delicious cookies ever! It’s so hard to eat them because they’re too beautiful to eat. A memory of my father is when he encourages me to play an outside activity like basketball, karate, or swimming lessons. Oh! And he also plays video games with me.
This bond with my family is as strong as steel and whenever it breaks, our love and memories will rebuild a new one. The bond will always be there in our hearts even in the scariest moments of our lives.
Thank you, Habitat for Humanity for giving people a bond strong enough so they feel safe and loved and can keep on rebuilding their bond.
