My Home in my Heart

My life is filled with friends, family and love. It makes me feel special and safe, that’s what I love about my home. I also love my older cousin, she’s like my big sister. She’s always there for me and my brother. She’s the best thing that’s ever happened in my life. I love my brother even though he can sometimes be annoying. My house would be very quiet without him there. We love building forts together and playing together. I don’t know what I would do without him. When I was born my parents had a dog, but when I was 3 years old, he died. I was sad, but I got on with my life. We have things to remember him by, like a bottle with his ashes. I love making memories with my family when we go on trips and have birthdays together. Home is not just about my family; it is also about my friends. We love playing together at recess. One thing that makes me know that everything is ok is hearing laughter. Not just in our house, but whenever we’re together. It reminds me that everything is ok and I’m safe.
