What Home Means to Me

To me ’’Home’’ is where I feel safe, comfortable, and calm. Home should be for everyone because everyone deserves a home. Everyone deserves to have a safe place to stay. I am glad to have a roof over my head and a safe place to live. Home is not just a place to sleep, it’s a place where you feel loved and cared for. It’s not just the place that makes it home, it’s the people in it and the memories you make together. When I come home from school, the smell of my mom’s cooking fills the house. The recipes my mom knows were passed down from my great grandma to my grandma to my mom, and now she is teaching me. My mom and me cook dinner together while my sister and dad build Lego. Other times my dad and I playing ball in the garage and my sister and mom are playing or building puzzles. When this happens it is the best feeling in the world I just feel so cozy, safe and loved. It is like you could do anything. I wish everyone could feel this feeling because it is just such a wonderous feeling like I could grow wings and fly.
