What Home Means to Me
My home means to me is when I'm sad there's ALWAYS someone there to comfort me.
In my home we chill on the couch watching a movie together after eating a filipino dish called chicken adobo. The Philippines is one of my home countries, it's where my family comes from, it's where all the loud laughter comes from, it's where all the family reunion pictures comes from, it’s where all the loud karaoke songs comes from, but the Philippines isn’t our only home, my mom and dad traveled across the earth to get here in Canada. It’s where I was born, it's also where my two sisters were born, but some people say “it's weird to go somewhere called home when you're already home”, for me and some others it’s not. It’s the best place I could go and not regret it. The snacks and bread (with love) that my mom and dad makes is one of the best things at home although to some other people it tastes normal, but to me it tastes YUMMY! At home we go biking around the neighborhood with our dad, and we bake with our mom.
My home isn’t just to sleep, it’s my comfort, my peace, and my shelter. Out of every place I’ve been to it’s the place I’d rather be.
