Meaning of Home to Me

You’re on your couch, reading a book. Cozy, comfortable, and relaxed. Warm under your blanket, I call this home. To feel at home is to feel Hygge. If you want to feel at peace try creating with Hygge in mind. Have you ever thought about what home means to you? Let's begin with what I call home. My home is warm and safe which makes me feel comforted and secure. My family makes me feel safe because they are kind and hang out with me. Sometimes they play board games with me, they also read with me. We usually play spoons and cheat, I’m the best. The connection between my family and I makes me feel warm and safe. Imagine this, you’re coming home from a long busy night, your house is lit up, and all you want to do is go lay down and read a book. Lucky for you, you have a warm, cozy, and comfortable house. The Danish people called this Hygge. It means comfort, relaxation, cozy, and at peace. My home makes me feel Hygge. Part of Hygge is making your home your own by designing it in a way you like. My home has couches, beds, blankets, and stuffies. Some of this stuff makes me feel happy. To have Hygge in your home you can add things you love. The three reasons I love my home are because it’s safe, Hygge, and has things I love. I hope you have reasons why you love your home too.
