What Home Means To Me

My home is so many things, it makes me feel safe when I am down. It is knowing that when I come home or if I have a bad day there will be someone there for me, someone to give me a big hug and tell me I am ok. I think that I can be home anywhere as long as I am with my family. The memories I make with my family are my favorite. In the spring I love coming home to the smell of maple syrup wafting up the stairs to find my dad in the backyard bent over a pot . It does not matter if I had a bad day, they will always love me. My dog Wonder is my favorite part of my day. He does not know what happened to me today. He is just excited to see me. We’re always together. I love going on trips with my family. It doesn't matter where we are, we will always have a great time. The memories we have on road trips are the best when we all cram in the car and talk for hours. We could be in the creepiest place on earth and we would find a way to laugh about it. We are always home when we are together. Everyone should have a dinner table where they can sit down and have a meal. A meal with no judgment.When we have games night it is just my whole family sitting at the dinner table playing game.The best part of christmas is dinner the whole family gathers around the dinner table together.The table is where memories are made. I hope that by writing this essay habitat for humanity can make lots of houses that will one day become a home.
