Meaning of Home

My home is more than just a building with walls, furniture and a roof. Home is my getaway. It's my place where I can escape from my worries, anxiety and stress. To me home is my special place where I feel safe, relaxed and seen. My home helps me feel a sense of connection and belonging. Home to me isn't the house itself, it's the people inside who make me who I am today. When I am at home with my family I feel a wave of peace, comfort and happiness whether we are having dinner together, having a family game night or just sitting and talking. Those moments remind me that I belong. Even on the worst days I could be having, coming home instantly makes it feel better. Home is also a place I feel accepted for who I am, I can make mistakes without feeling ashamed. I do not have to pretend to be someone I am not, I know that my home will forever support me no matter what. Another reason home is so special is because it is filled with memories. Every conversation, laugh, and occasion becomes part of my life story. Home also teaches me important lessons about love and support. Home will forever be something I can count on. Being at home teaches me how to be kind, loving and grateful for everything. No matter how heavy my heart feels, I can always count on coming home and feeling better. Although I do have my ups and downs with home but it will forever be something i can run to no matter where and what these memories remind me that no matter where I could be, I always and always will have a place to turn back to and feel seen, loved, and heard and that place is called home.
