Meaning of Home
Imagine it, you have to say goodbye to your family members. It was so hard, even now it’s six years already. But I still feel like it happened just a second ago. After I came to Canada, I had millions of houses (me exaggerating only three but feels like a lot). Now I’m in Winnipeg, in my eighth house! This time I’m sharing the house (home) living in right now.
In my house, my family is one of the most important parts. My family makes the cold and quiet house into a warm, and welcoming home. They love me and take care of me. On the other hand, my cat makes my home full of “meows” and fur. In his own way, he makes the home full of laughter.
The objects in my house also are a part of my home. For example, my favourite stuffies have been with me since I was born. Another example is my piano. Even though it only joined my home last year, we play it every day. That makes a big part of my home.
They all make my home, my home. They may be moving, helping, or talking. Others might not be able to do those things. They are still a part of my home; they make my home complete.
Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for helping me recognize my home and for helping others find a forever home; everyone deserves a home.
