Meaning of Home

Every day, I wake up to the sweet smell of eggs and toast, and to me, that tastes like home. Every week, my family and I have a campfire, and to me, that feels like home. Every night, I look through my telescope and see the moon and stars, and to me, that looks like home. My family celebrates holidays at home. Every year, my family and I bake cookies all day before Christmas. At Thanksgiving, we have a big turkey dinner. Before Easter, my mom sets up an Easter hunt. On New Year’s Eve, we go to our friends house and have a New Year’s party. Home is where we celebrate. Thank you to Habitat for Humanity for helping people in our area to have homes. If people don’t have homes they can die. Home is a place for family and friends. Home is a place to be loved and cared for.
